The Dos & Don’ts of Brand Building in 2018

Last week our CEO Jacob was a speaker at Collision Tech Conference in New Orleans. Billed by Bloomberg as “Davos for geeks”, Collision is one of the world’s foremost technology conferences. It attracts 25,000 attendees from over 120 countries, uniting entrepreneurs, thought-leaders and marketeers in four days of tech and talks.

Jacob appeared on a panel entitled The Dos and Don'ts of Building a Brand in 2018. He was joined by Susan Cradle of FCB Global and Sarah Hofstetter of 360i, and their conversation was chaired by Andrew Strickman of Realtor.com.

During the session, the panel discussed the essentials of creating a brand in the modern world. They talked about the components needed for a minimum viable brand and discussed the perfect time to start thinking about branding (hint: as soon as possible). They also considered some of the most pertinent challenges facing brands today, such as the implications of data laws and the requirements of a world where physical and digital are increasingly blurred.
