You choose. When do you want to pay? Now, the choice is yours… before, now, after or at your own pace. BBVA, one of Spain’s leading financial institutions, has launched their new credit card range that adapts to your needs, offering simple, efficient solutions.
The credit card market in Spain is one of the most saturated worldwide. In this hyper-competitive context, BBVA’s portfolio grew remarkably in past years, resulting in a partly obsolete offer. Clients found it difficult to comprehend the differences between the offerings and very hard to choose the most adequate card for their needs. At this point, BBVA decided to step ahead of its competitors and redefine their card offering with a consumer focus.
Saffron helped BBVA restructure and design its portfolio away from the complex offer that it previously had to a more streamlined one based on three principles: it had to be simple, positive and modular. The new structure resulted in 4 cards: before, now, after and at your own pace. Each card is related to a payment ‘moment’ within the basic market categories of prepaid, debit, credit and revolving.
Keeping in line with the idea of movement, pace and timing, we based the visual style on a concept we call Tempo. Based on original photographs, the images metaphorically depict the different payment ‘moments’ with striking perspectives. Simple, yet attractive and modern.
The Blue range, for clients under 30, adds a warmer and more youthful touch to this range of cards by including shots of people in different positions, emphasising the idea of movement associated with the Tempo concept.
